Why Celebrate ?
My first response is – why NOT Celebrate? I believe we need to make time to celebrate the little things and the BIG things in life. Finding ways to mark changes in our daily lives can help give meaning, not only to us but also to those who’s lives we touch.
From birth to death and every occasion in between – Births, Namings, Reaching Puberty, Marriage or Civil Unions, Special Birthdays, Retiring, Divorcing, reaching our Elder (or Crone) years, Honouring a life now over (or coming to an end) or any other changes on this journey of our lives. Making time to mark an occasion gives us an anchor, a grounding, a stepping-off point. We make a statement; whether to a few close friends or an overflowing crowd . . . the statement is yours to make.
I have been creating events and ceremonies for over 40 years, in many different contexts, so I have plenty of experience. Add to this my background as a Counsellor and Coach, which provides me with the skills to help you find out what you want, and negotiate to get it for you.
To have the ceremony you want, I believe you need only be restricted by the date and the venue (and in my experience, even these can change). Everything else, and I mean EVERYTHING else, can be sourced, arranged, and organised to be perfect for YOU.
My years working as a counsellor have given me tools of deep empathy and the ability to ask the questions which allow creativity to flow. I love working with people to help them find exactly how they want to honour whatever occasion.
